Community Relaunch - Workforce Re-entry Program

Flexible work opportunities to help individuals re-enter the workforce with confidence.

Who It’s For:

Most government-funded employment programs require participants to commit to 30+ hours per week. For many people, that’s a barrier rather than a bridge.

Community ReLaunch is designed for people who need a gradual, supported re-entry point, including:

  • Individuals rebuilding after mental health challenges or addiction recovery
  • People engaged in social reintegration (after incarceration, homelessness, or long-term caregiving)
  • Anyone not yet ready for a traditional full-time schedule, but eager to regain stability, confidence, and practical skills

What We Do:

We create low-barrier, flexible opportunities for participants to re-engage with meaningful work while supporting the community.

  • Participants are matched with short-term, low-commitment assignments (1–4 hours per task, or small projects over a few days).
  • Every task is designed to be achievable, rewarding, and skill-building.
  • Assignments emphasize real contribution, not “busy work,” ensuring participants feel valued.

Types of Work Available

  • Event setup/takedown
  • Food bank sorting and deliveries
  • Community garden upkeep and harvesting
  • Yard work, snow removal, litter clean-up
  • Junk Removal
  • Moving Help
  • Basic landscaping, painting, small repairs
  • Filing, data entry, reception coverag
  • Simple office projects for nonprofits and small businesses
  • Don’t see your need listed here? Reach out to us! We’re always open to exploring new projects and creative ways to support our community.

Who Can Engage Our Participants

  • Nonprofits & Community Groups: need extra hands for events, outreach, or ongoing programs.
  • Small Businesses: flexible, short-term help without long hiring processes.
  • Local Residents: safe, one-off needs like moving furniture, repairs, or errands.
  • Public Agencies: temporary support for municipal or community initiatives.

Why It Works

  • Low-barrier entry: Participants can say “yes” without fear of being overwhelmed.
  • Confidence grows through small wins: Every completed task builds momentum.
  • Immediate community impact: Organizations and residents see the benefit right away.
  • Clear, defined assignments: No confusion, just achievable, supported tasks.

Impact Goals

  1. Bridge to Stability: Provide supported, flexible work experiences that act as stepping-stones to long-term employment or education.
  2. Reduce Exclusion: Offer alternatives to those left out of conventional programs.
  3. Strengthen Community Ties: Connect local needs with untapped local talent.
  4. Encourage Growth: Foster confidence, skills, and accountability through real-world practice.
